National Livestock Program
In its National Mongolian Livestock Program the government has set out its aims of improving breeding services, raising veterinary standards and developing markets and improving marketing practices. As part of this effort it wishes to establish an animal registration and identification system that would be introduced in the second phase of the program scheduled for the five-year period 2016-2021. We understand that some aspects of the livestock identification scheme have been introduced but it is unlikely that this activity will be extensive in the near term.
